Default 1st Brake Change

I have changed brakes on lots of pasenger vehicles, but never like these before, when tightening the caliper bolts, you have to back up with wrench on the thingie that the bolt is threading into,,, whats it called, pads were only half worn after 26,000 miles, but i cand notice a diff with new oem pads.

I believe you might be talking about the caliper sliding pins?

Always grease the sliders and make sure you put anti-sieze on the bolts....you'll thank yourself next time you have to do brakes. Its amazing how you don't really notice your brakes progressively getting worse, but when you finally bite the bullet and get new pads/rotors, you realize how much better they could have been.
