How to change front struts?

How to change front struts? Is there a tutorial anywhere out there that will tell me exactly how I need to change my struts because I tried searching and there is nothing.
I need to know how to change the driver side coilover strut shock thing.. I undid the 2 nuts on the top.. but there is some sort of star bit bolts that are covered up by the brake fluid reservoir. Any suggestions?

that star thing is called a castle nut. pull the metal pin out, and YOU MUST USE / BUY a REPLACMENT BRAND NEW. then take the castle nut off...and I Think you must also take a long bolt out and then grab a rubber mallet and hammer on it, the arm will fall off and give you access to the rest of your shock/spring.
then undo your bolts holding the shock in place and pull her out
