Brake squeak, need help
Brake squeak, need help Here’s how the problem started. I beat on the car pretty good at the track with ET drags. No squeak at all. Then I put on the street tires for a couple of runs and after my first run I heard a squeak. The Squeak is there when the car is moving and the squeak speed increases when I apply the brake but when I really get on the brakes the squeak goes away. As soon as I start moving again the squeak is back. Needless to say it is very annoying. I turned the axel and it sounds like something is rubbing. So I took off the disk and the break caliper and turned the axel and no sound. Put everything back together went for 5 mile drive. No sound until about halfway and then it was back to what is was. Any ideals on what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
