Default Hose attached to torque arm?

Where does it plug in? The valve is just kinda hanging there. I just can't see where it's suppose to go and it kinda has me worried dirt may be getting in some place it should not (obviously). I noticed this when I was putting my rear end back in today and went to take a look at the TA bushing (which is in surprisingly good shap) when I saw the hose that is clipped in two places onto the torque arm not going anywhere up top. PLEASE HELP!

Can you please post up a pic of what you are talking about cause I'll don't have any hoses attached to my torque arm.

Really? It was on my V6 car too, just never needed to know where it went. It just has two metal clips that hold it to the inner part of the TA. I think it goes to the trans, not sure where else it would go. Now I want to know what the hell this thing is. It's just a valve that T's out to two hoses that just seem to vent.

Default Breather hose...

The front of the hose plugs into the top of the 4L60E transmission, just behind the bell.
The bottom of the hose (a few feet past the rear of the trans) is open to the atmosphere.

I found that hose when I replaced my torque arm last month and wondered the same thing. I believe it goes to the tranny (auto) as mentioned.

Yeah, it's hard as **** to get back in though. I had to drop the trans down to find it.

No, I think a shop didn't put it back in when the previous owner had some work done to the trans. Makes me wonder how good a job they did.

It sounds like a tranny vent hose.

Exactly what it was. It had a one way valve where it went into the trans.
