Default Koni adj.

OK, I got my Koni DAs and the 82-92 rear shocks. First of all, what settings should I use for the DAs? Secondly, how in the hell do you adjust the rear shocks? Also what setting should those be set on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sam, any ideas? Thanks all

If you purchased from Sam, give him a call, he's very helpful. If not, then there are 1001 threads in this forum about Koni Set-up.

Ok, could someone please help me. I am looking at the pictures and I am not sure if I have everything to install these damn rear shocks. And the adj. isn't going so well. I have been searching on here and camaroz28.com. I went to the koni site. I consider myself a smart guy, but I am just not getting this. I don't want to f this up when I go to install it

It's pretty simple. The 3rd gen rears have a button on the top of the shock body under the black plastic sleeve. When you hold that down and turn the top, then you are adjusting it. It's got 4 settings. Hold the button down, turn, and when it pops up then your at the next setting. I'd start at full soft for the rears, see how you like it, and adjust from there. I doubt you'll wanna go past the next setting up. You are adjusting rebound only.

OK, thanks, I guess I am just not getting much pop action out of the button. But how much hardware am I supposed to have. Looking at the pictures, it looks as if I am missing some stuff. Maybe it will make more sense when I pull the old shock off. I just want to make sure I have everything before i tear into this.

If you bought them from me, call me.

If not I can't really tell you what I tell my customers. I'm sorry and I hate to be an *** about it (though I don't think I am). But part of the purchase price includes the ability to call to talk about these things since the adjustment isn't a **** with numbers.

Well, got the rears installed today. Didn't do the lowering springs yet. I'll do that this weekend. I know, I should have done them all at once, but oh well. They seem pretty firm, but ride much better than the decarbons. Feels more solid over bumps. Can't wait to do the fronts and get everything complete. Thanks for the input on the install. I also pretty much gutted the back of the car trying to find the damn nuts for the top of the struts; I guess that means I might as well order my sound dampner. Hmmm, what to buy.

Ouch.. did you know that the carpet right where the top of the shock mounts to is perforated? Aka comes from the factory cut so that you don't have to make the inside of the car naked to get to them for removal. It flaps right up.

Getting the springs in should be simple for the rear. Just do the same thing and pop the springs in. The fronts I would strongly suggest doing springs and shocks at the same time
