If you are serious about handling and looking for more camber/caster adjustability, then they are a must.
I recently installed LGMotorsports lowers. The install was a lot simpler than I had imagined. However, I became very good friends with my alignment guy.
I made 3 alignment trips getting the alignemnt settings where I wanted them (-1.3* camber, +5.0* caster), the attachment point to the car in mid slot and as much thread engagement as possible (for strength) on the rod ends.
Ride quality is a little 'harder', but holy cow ... what a difference in handling.
