Default Torque Arm Question?

My friends torque arm on his 95 z28 is completly shot. I found a used one from a 2000 trans am. Would it fit? I dont know if it's from a automaic or a 6 speed. The 95 z28 is a auto. It looks different in the pics that's why I was skeptic.

Hello
You shouldn't have any issues. They are the same!
Thanks

The 6-Speed torque arms have extra bracing... but other than that like Brad mentioned they are the same and will interchange.

Just curious....How does a torque arm get "worn out"?? Or, do you mean the rubber biscuit on the tranny, that the torque arm sits in?

Hello
A lot of the time when a factory bushing goes bad the torque arm usually cuts them. And then they will make a clunking noise. That is why we offer a replacement poly bushing for $14.99! It will defiantly hold up a lot better and last longer than a OEM replacement. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

Brad, thanks for your input, however my post was somewhat "tounge in cheek". I was trying to get the OP to elaborate on the problem he was referring to. The OE torque arm is a fairly strong part, so I wasn't sure how it could become "completely shot", unless he had 450, or so, RWHP, along with some serious traction going on, but then the "diff" would probably crap out long before the torque arm would bend or "stress crack" at the bolt holes....

Hello
Usually what happens is when you get around that HP range. We recommend getting the arm off of the rear of the transmission The mounting location (clam shell) will get weak and break.
