Default ball joints

how hard is it to do the ball joints in my 96 ta. this is prob. a stupid ? but i had to ask, if anybody has how to link please post it to. thanks

The upper are rivited from the factory. A sharp chisel and 3 pound, short handled sledge will knock the heads of the rivets off, but an air chisel is a lot easier. The lowers are pressed in. Most "chain" part stores will loan/rent you a b/j press.

Pretty much - for the uppers, I took a grinder to the heads of the rivets until they were completely gone, drilled a hole in what was left so I could stick a punch in there without it jumping around, and knocked them out with a hammer.

The lowers are pressed in, and the tool you can rent from Auto Zone to remove them worked well to get it out...I just haven't gotten around to pressing the new one in yet. Maybe tomorrow...
