Question Adjusting ride height

I have QA1 shocks and there springs up front. I do have the spanner wrench . Can I use the wrench with the car on the ground or am i better off doing it on a lift? I think my front is up too high.

Thanks

You don't need a lift.

Just jack the car up one side at a time, pull the wheel off, place a jack stand under the car, then adjust the spring seat; repeat on other side.

Want to ask a really stupid question since I did not install my front qa1 coilovers myself: Can you adjust the nut with the shock and spring on the car with the spanner wrench or do I have to take the whole thing back out? I want to go back to stock ride height. I found most everything I need to know already from prior posts but did not see anything about possibly adjusting the shock on the car. Thanks!

No not a stupid question, not if you don't know.

Just do what I stated above.

Jack the car up one side at a time, pull the wheel off, place a jack stand under the car, then adjust the spring seat*; repeat on other side.

* First loosen the jam-nut under the spring seat, then spray some dry lube around the spring seat where the coil contacts it, and spray some on the threads on the shock body directly above the spring seat. That should decrease the effort required to adjust/turn the spring seat up higher. Also if you know(in inches)how much higher you want the front of your car to sit, then adjust your QA1 spring seat up 1/2 that amount. That should get you really close to where you want it.
