Unhappy LCA relocation bracket help. *with pics*

I installed my lower control arms and relocation brackets, (sphoon bolt/weld in kind) and I'm having some trouble. It looks like they are pivoting on the bolt that connects the relo bracket to the car at the original lca mounting point. This seems impossible to me because the control arms are there to hold it in place? Maybe I did something wrong when I installed them? I raised the car and unloaded the rear. Then I bolted up the brackets, torqued them down with a braker bar bolted in lca's and torqued them down as well. I also used green locktite. Any ideas? It kind if looks like the relocation brackets are being supported by the brake lines so I'm a little worried. It just looks a little wrong to me.

Are those the weld-in kind? If so, I don't think you can just bolt them in and go. Take a look at the differences in the UMI bolt-in and weld-in designs; the bolt-in has an extra bracket that swings around to connect to the shock mount to keep them from pivoting on the mounting bolt, whereas the weld-ins don't have it, because they don't need it.

Have you welded them yet?

If they are weld-in brackets, you have to weld them.

The instructions said bolt/weld in. I think I misunderstood it as bolt OR weld in. thanks for the input.

Like mentioned those brackets need to be welded in place before driving. I assume they mean you can bolt them in to hold them before welding.

Hope that helps!

Our relocation brackets are CNC laser cut and formed from 3/16" cold rolled steel using state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology for precision tolerances. They must be welded in and all hardware is included. Since the brackets must be welded in place, we ship them bare. Weld in control arm relocation brackets are the only SAFE and EFFECTIVE way to install them.
the other guys like umi and bmr have the tab that braces against the lower shock mount to keep it in place for the bolt-in brackets. on a side note, you CAN mod the stock brake line brackets so that you can put them back on and keep them from rubbing (cut it in half or something).
