Lowered+exhaust=compromises...
So It's been about a month since I lowered my car. I love how it looks, but HATE how hard it is to go some places or have things done. For instance, I can no longer go have my oil changed, because everywhere I go has some little metal pieces that raise off the ground by a few inches, and it scrapes my exhaust. I can change my own oil, but I hate doing it.
Also, I can't pull into some driveways and parking lots because of the angle the entrances are. I now have to either park on the street, or keep driving until I fine a suitable parking lot. It's a big inconvenience, but damn does it look good.
Anyone else have similar problems?

I scraped my bumper entering a parking lot with a sloped driveway.
I almost beached myself trying to pull out of a self wash car wash (back wheels off the ground).
I scrape my exhaust and airdam leaving the complex.
I nick my SFC entering the apt. complex.
I bottom out on speed bumps.
Pot holes are a gamble, might just hit the bump stop, might destroy a wheel bearing or my exhaust.
Yeah it's full of compromises, and I have MAC mids LOL

ditto... i have stranos, konis, and bassani true duals... i did take my car to an exhaust shop and have them rework the exhaust and they got it tucked up really nice... i also have jethot longtubes which tuck up pretty nice on their own and no part of my exhaust hangs lower than the collector... i have no problems at all with bottoming out/scraping

Lowered 1.2 inches, 3 inch longtubes, full custom SS exhaust with cats (which makes matters even worse) and Koni's. I still scrap on anything beyond an average speed bump. It is a compromise. I too love the way it looks, but heading out cross country on Power Tour where you never know where you have to park....

lowered on strano springs bilstein shocks. i have the bmr trak pak torque arm, and i bottom out so much the cross brace that it mounts to has a hole in the bottom. My electric cutouts are all scraped up and i even lost one while driving due to a pot hole. i also have long tubes
The car sits awesome, the suspension hooks great, the cutouts are just amazing. Sure i bottom out everywhere but its completely worth it

Stock height, 3" true duals...wasn't too uncommon for my to scrape when I was still daily'ing the T/A, especially in Kansas (all that flat land and the bastards STILL couldn't get the roads right), but for as much as they scraped, when I pulled the duals off a couple weeks back, it was only in an area about the width and length of my thumb on the very end of the bullets, right by the turn-downs. No scrapes or dings anywhere else.
Lesson learned for me: teeth-grinding, knuckle-popping, snarl-inducing scraping noises don't always equal chewing exhaust bits up.
