Default Budget rotors?

Are any of these I see on ebay worth buying?

I need new pads (was thinking Hawk HPS) and rotors (stockers at minimum, so can't be turned) and didn't want used LS1 stuff and the hassle of the swap, also want to save and spend my money elsewhere.

I understand brakes are important, so I don't want to totally skimp out, but I'm not paying $100+ for each rotor.

I found several sets of rotors that look "decent" for $125-$150 for all four, of course I can get slotted or drilled and whatnot (know not to go drilled) but I was thinking of picking up slotted for the extra "bling" factor since they were almost the same price, car will probably never see auto-x or anything like that, just would like an upgrade from the horrid LT1 brakes.
Unless of course slotted is going to really affect my pad life, it won't kill me to get blanks.

Been reading the huge debates on brake rotors, so I don't want to get into that, but being the same price, I figured why not?

Anyway, anyone have any experience with ebay rotors?
Or recommendations for other cheap ones?

I'm in the same boat as you trying to find budget rotors. It seems everybody is initially happy with ebay rotors, but not for long. Most either crack or warp in a couple of years. Drilled and slotted will only speed up this process so I think I'm going with centric premium blanks.

Is it only with the drilled/slotted ones?

Like I said, I can get them for the same price with a 1yr warranty as the blanks, but I don't want to replace them right after 1yr hahaha!

I can do kit including 4 rotors (blanks) and both sets of Hawk HPS pads for $325. Shipping to Texas (going by your information) would be about $35 as the rotors alone weigh about 80 pounds.....

Can you get cheaper stuff? Yes you can. But I've beat these rotors on a track with Hawk Race pads and they held up pretty darned well for the price.

I've been using white box rotors for most of the cars life and never had an issue. Even when I was doing lapping and Solo1 and running with the Hawk blue pads which work like a grinder wheel on the rotors. Sure they would turn blue and get some surface cracking but spend the money on the pads. JMO

Thanks Sam!

Do you have a warranty on the pads or rotors?
If you do - I'll order them tonight!

Not sure how they hold up in f-body applications but I've run the cheap $25 raybestos rotors on the track with my C5 setup. They got hot enough to turn blue with no warping or cracking.

- Rotors are Direct replacement units that
Meet or exceed all O.E.M Specifications .

- Use High-carbon, long-grain materials that withstand
extreme temperatures and stresses.

- Are Street and Track tested for Performance and Durability.

- Manufactured under ISO 9002, QS9000 , and
Rheinisch-Westfalischer TUV Certifications.

- Offer a Two-Year Unlimited Mileage Replacement Warranty*
for street use when purchased in conjunction with
approved brake pads. Hawk pads are "approved".

Brakes are very hard to warranty since they can be abused so badly. I can tell you that these are very good replacement rotors, and if you are after something without a coating, that's a blank and that isn't to be used continually on a race track these will work and and work well.

If you get those from Sam, make sure to add some ATE Super Blue fluid or something equivalent and give those brakes a good bleed job, definitely makes a big difference!
