lowering with 305s?
lowering with 305s? i recently purchsed a set of C5 DD's 17x9.5f and 18x10.5r i had to modify the wheel wells a little bit to fit the rears on and really want to lower the car soon. i was wondering if any more modifing would be needed ie fender rolling or more bfh??
Depends how low. BFH will probably be needed, but rolling the fender may not, depends on how low. You may want to grind the bumpstops down too. I have a 295 (pretty wide 295) and I am lowered on stranos...I'm yet to do ANY BFH mod or anything, although I need to do a little massaging on the front of the rear inner fender.
Mine is really low in the back and basically it was trial and error.
You have to beat the inner wheel well towards the front and paint it black, lower it and drive it around, look for rub marks and do it all back over again until it stops rubbing.
Do you have an adjustable panhard rod? You will definitely need one when lowering it so you can center the rear end.
Also my fenders were rolled before from the 17x11's I had but I can see where you may have to roll them for the 18x10.5's.

i was looking to lower it 1.25 probably with bmr springs. i have already banged in the forward part of the wheel wells and ground down the stops, currently they are completely removed without issiues but will be reinstalled shortly. i also know a panhard will be necessary. i cant see the pics right now b/c i am at work but will check it out later thanks

ps you are better off rolling them before doing a trial and error run because you can easily slice or damage the sidewall within seconds of driving the car.
And it's the shittiest feeling when you know that you could have easily avoided damaging your tires.
