Powdercoating Spindles???
Powdercoating Spindles??? Im looking at getting my spindles powedercoated! They seem pretty easy to come out but the question I have have is.. How much more will I have to take apart once it is out? Does the wheel hub need to come off to? Any suggestions help would be great!!!
I picked up some LS1 brakes and I'm probably going to do the same eventually. If yours are still on the car here is a pic of what needs to be unbolted. Looks like 4 bolts on the back to take the hub off. It doesn't seem that hard.
Yea that is what I was looking at.. Does the abs sensor and all that just come off with the hub?
Im doing my whole front end suspension/brakes as we speak. For me, powdercoating was not an option because where i am located. i pulled the spindles off and left the hubs in. I taped off the back of the hub where the WS sensor is at, and then taped around in the front of the hub where the bearing is.
Wire brush/sanded down the spindle to get all the rust off then sprayed it down with water to get the rest off and dryed them.
Rattle can 2 coats of primer on them, then rattle canned 3 coats of gloss black on them. I am doing the same to my A-arms as well since i pulled them off to do the bushings and ball joints.
