I agree, those look like the 4/4's.
The differences between 4/4's and 4/3's aren't that great, the thing being that the 4/3's use 3rd gen rears while the 4/4's are 4th gen rears. They're valved slightly differently and the 3rd gen rears have to be removed or loosened to be adjusted, while the 4th gen rears have the on car adjustment **** (also, they are infinitely adjustable without any preset adjustments).

Those look like 4th gen rears. Those cups hold the dust boots, which for some reason have slid to the bottom of the shocks. (Or they are just packaged that way, it has been a long time since I got mine).
