Default lt1 ls1 rack differences

my factory on is getting some play in it over the years and am considering upgrading to the ls1 rack. what problems would i run into? just get an ls1 steering shaft and that should be it? ps lines the same size in the same place?

also, are they the same ratio or different?

Never tried this swap personally but when designing K-members around the LT1 and LS1 rack I know that the angle of the upright where the steering shaft attaches is completely different between the two. The LS1 rack may still clear when used with an LS1 steering shaft but I would be concerned about header and motor stand clearances due to this different angle. The physical mounts are the same as well as the overall width of the tie rod ends and tie rod pivot points but I am not sure about the hose sizes...

The LT1 rack where the shaft connects is more vertical... the LS1 is angled more toward the driver's side.

I bought an LS1 rack and shaft to put on my car... It would've worked had I not had hooker (jethot's) headers. The first primary was in the way.

Ended up reclocking the shaft and buying a reman. LT1 rack.
