I purchased Granatelli SFCs off Ebay btw.

Locktight? Just weld the bolts and you'll have bolted-in weld-on's!

I have SLP bolt in's, and may have them welded on later sometime...First thing I thought when I pulled 'em outta the box was These Things Are F' ing Huge! Hey but if it also helps with preventing some squeaks/rattles later on, it's all good.

Seems like even though I really am concerned about weight, between the 12-bolt, big tire/wheel combo, SFC's, adjustable torque arm & other heavy-duty suspension hardware I've probably added #300 to the car. Scale at track says #3450 with my #160 *** inside. Is there a weight loss thread around here?

I have no personal experiences with these but a lot of my friends have had problems with just bolting them in. I am doing an install on my own soon and I will be welding them in. In my opinion the objective is to strengthen the unibody which will be done more effectively by welding them all around on the ends(not sure what the end pieces are called) rather than only fastening them at the points of the bolts. As you drive bolt holes can stretch which makes these useless.

Also if your afraid of the welding don't be. find a friend with a welder and learn how to weld instead of avoiding it when you can. You can use this skill more than you can imagine, especially if you are into racing. Its not hard to learn. Very easy with a mig(wire feed) welder you will need a little practice with a stick or tig welder. One of the best things I ever learned.
