Trailering a 95
Trailering a 95 Hope this is the correct forum.
I'm trying to figure out where to tie the rear of the car to a trailer. Everything is thin sheet metal. Even the rear bumper mounts. Somebody has to have dealt with this before.
Right now I'm tying the rear axle and that's not IMHO a good thing to do. No problem with the front, plenty of places to get hold of.
So, where is a good place to hook to the body in the rear? Closer to the back the better for me.

Back when I used to have an oval track car, we had 4 "d-ring" tie downs in the bed of the trailer, and used ratcheting tie downs over the tires. The object of this is to set up the suspension, and then not effect those settings while in transit, as the car's suspension wouldn't be artificially bound up.
The only trick for us, is that oval track race tires don't hold air too well over long periods of time, so we also used a "come along" from the front bumper of the car, to a hook in the front center of the trailer, and made sure to drive directly to and from the track, before the tires would seep down, and cause the tie-downs to go slack.

T-hooks in the frame slots meant for them.... That's what I've been using since I've been towing (a while now). I try and refrain from yanking on suspension parts it's generally not good for the bushings and such.
