Default Hard to explain sound.

Sometimes when I'm going around a curve I get a weird whine/rub/howl sound. Almost like really wet brakes. It's a very intermittent problem so I doubt I can get a sound clip and I can't recreate it at will.

Things like roundabouts and cloverleaf on/off ramps usually trigger it. I've changed pads/rotors and diff fluid/additive. Nothing has changed.

Any ideas?

Check your Panhard bar. I lost a bolt one time and the only way I knew it was the noise and the rub marks on the inside fender wells.

Could be a wheel bearing. Thats what happened when a front one failed in my truck.

Maybe you're rubbing on your wheelwell with your your tires. Take the tires off and check for clearance.

Where is it coming from? Front or rear?

Coming from the rear. I replaced both bearings in the rear when I bought the car back in Sept. There was a bad constant buzz/whirr beforehand. That has gone, but this happened before and after the bearing change. Bearings, rotors, pads, fluid/additive have all been replaced. I'll check phb bushings and clearance tomorrow prolly.
