Side by side pictures? Anyone have a picture or a link for the comparison of Fbody calipers to the C5 ones? I know there is a a bit of a difference in the piston size. But the C5/zo6 is thicker and cast right? My 2000 z28s have a some caliper spread and its time to switch.
I can grab some this evening...stockers are still on the car, but I have regular C5 calipers to swap once I get to brakes.
The C5 is pressure cast, while the stock f-body is flow cast (something along those lines) and the C5 has stiffening ribs to prevent caliper spread under hard braking. I think the C5 piston is actually a little smaller than the f-body piston, though.

F Car calipers are gravity cast . . C5 calipers are pressure cast, which was stated previously . .
The Vette caliper "ears" are thicker, and there are cooling vanes on the body . . .
