rubbing noise when driving?

rubbing noise when driving? It's only started happening a few days ago, but its a constant sound whenever I'm in motion. Basically, it sounds like a flat tire, or something constantly rubbing in the rear, or in the rear suspension.
Any clues as to what it might be? possibly a rotor or brake pad rubbing? or a bearing somewhere(wheel bearing? low rear diff fluid?) ? i'm confused as to what it might be, and I know I haven't given much of a detailed description, but it does sound like a flat (and no, that definitely isn't it)....sorry, but i'm open to any possibilities right about now
