Question Dual Caliper question

I've been tossing around the idea of getting the a dual caliper set up. Since I'm not running FI, this is more of a coolness/just for fun factor, but I'm expecting to put 700+ to the crank so I'm sure it wouldn't hurt either.

My question is how well does a setup like this run on the street as a semi-DD? I know you have to use a proportioning valve because they tend to lock up before the front breaks, but outside of that fixable issues, is there any real issues for street use? Also who makes the best kit - Strange, Mark Williams, Aerospace, or Wilwood? I'm assuming that Brembo, Bear, or SSBC don't make them since I can't find any on their website.

I also read on google that someone makes a dual caliper setup for the front, but they failed to list who. Since I can't find it, is this true?

Are you talking about a dual caliper system as in two calipers used to stop the rotor? I only know of a dual rear setup and the second caliper is only used as a parking brake.

Ahh, yes. Very cool. Yeah, turbo guys run this to help with brake-boosting. Your best bet would be to call Wilwood and tell them what you're doing. They have excellent tech support from what I've experienced in the past.

So there is no one, out of the thousands of members here, that has any input to offer?

Way overkill and in my opinion there are a lot of better things you could spend the money on! If you are N/A and don't plan on road racing or autocrossing, just get a set of good rotors/pads and some braided lines. If you really want to do a bigger upgrade do the C5 front brakes!

Yeah I know they are deff overkill, I'm just doing it for the COOLNESS factor, lol; I just want to know if they would be safe for street use. If they will be an issue on the streets, then I will be doing the 6 piston Vette upgrade

Thanks for the response man!
