the relocation takes the mount off the transmission where it would be mounted in stock form and is now attached to a mount coming off the trans crossmember. a tunel mount is a shorter TQ arm that is mounter to a tunnel mount where the factory tunnel brace would have went.

Thanks. Any benefit of one over the other?

its tough to run TD's with a tunnel mount setup because of clearance issues. I learned the hard way.

Possibly. My issue was with the true duals. You have a ypipe setup. My Texas Speed true duals X pipe was right where the tunnel mount crossed over causing it to be nowhere close to fitting.

Ahhhh ... yea, I can see how you would have a clearance issue with true duals. I wasn't thinking about clearance issues with exhausts.

I will say that I do avoid speed bumps, but other than that, no ground clearance issues. Then again, it really will not be used much as a street car.

One of the vendors told me (can't rmr which one... it was either Midwesst Chassis or BMR) that the tunnel mount torque arm isn't as fovarably for road-racing. Under hard corning and braking the inside tire has a tendency to lift off the ground a little. But I think the tunnel mounted torque arm is supposed to be better for straight line acceleration (i'm sure someone will "kindly" correct me if I'm wrong)

ive had both. when i had true duels, the long arm (with the relocation mount) was the only way i could go. however when i got a ticket for too loud exhaust. i changed to a y pipe setup and went to the short arm (tunnel brace mounted). IMO the short arm is alot better. so far ive pulled 1.75 60' with it which is a huge drop from 2.1 60'. as far as ground clearance issues i havent seen any then again i went with the umi piece. there maybe differences between each manufacture.

The tunnel mounted arms are shorter and work best for drag racing. They are streetable but may add some additional road noise to the vehicle.

The relocation kits are designed to mount a full length torque arm such as stock or aftermarket arm off the transmission into its own mount. This type of set up is very streetable and recommended for handling applications. It also clears true duals.

How do you drive this vehicle and what are the plans for it?

Thanks!
