Best Replacement Rack & Pinion?
Best Replacement Rack & Pinion? looks like the rack bit the dust, so i was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a new one? been toying with the idea of going manual, but don't have 500 bucks to spring on that set up quite yet. all of the local parts houses seem to be around the same price, which is around 140+core for a remanufactured unit. the brands i found so far are duralast (atsco), a1 cardone, napa brand, and ac delco. if anyone knows of a place that sells new units, i'd like to know as well. thanks

you cant get a NEW rack anymore...so thats out...........go with what you feel comfortable with.......i felt good with a GM reman.......a lifetime warranty on any brand is worthless if you have to use it every week
