Question Is anyone using lowering A-arms??

Just ordered some 19s for '00 Z28, wanna lower it for sure; but also want the best possible ride. Ive been doing a lot of reading on different threads and I wanted some feedback, if any, on BMRs 1'' lowering A-Arms. Post'em if you got'em.

i just installed the bmr lower a-arms along with koni shocks and strano springs on my trans am, and i gota say i love how it looks and the stance of the car, you can forget going over speed bumps, dips in the road and whatever else, even getting on the lift or a trailer is a PITA haha. im running 17x9.5 up front and first couple times hit a bump and it will run the tire up into the finder. so you gotabe careful on bumps

The 1" lowering a-arms shouldn't sacrifice any of the ride quality whatsoever since you are using the shock mount to change the ride height. Now if you decide to use the 1" lowering a-arms and lowering springs the car will sit pretty low and ground clearance may be an issue. But like threeFs posted if you are careful and cautious going over bumps, inclines, and declines they can be used together.

Also if you go too low it will cause the upper ball joint to bind.

That setup is exactly what i was thinkin about doin, car looks sweet!!! How much did the A-Arms and Strano springs lower the car all together? How does it feel and how much clearence do u have underneath, i wanna run some longtubes later on, trying to plan out as much as possible.

Im not sure exactly, but i would guess prolly little over 2 inches. i didnt measure tho

as for your headers you will be fine, i have hooker 1 7/8 into a 3-3.5 merge and a 3.5 electric cutout and i havnt had problems with the exhaust.
the front end will be the hardest to get used to at first, you just gota take things at like an angle or it will make that horrible scrapping noiseon the front .
and you can run your tires up into your fender if you hit a big bump or a dip in the road and dont slow down.
i love em tho and have no complaints about getting them.

only thing that concerns me is if i run at the track with slicks i will lift the tires pretty good of the line and when it comes down i dont wana **** up my **** ya no

Id run some of the taller Koni bump stops up front at a minimum if you're going to do both, lift the ride height up some, and/or go with stiffer springs. Id go with a combination of taller or additional bump stops, and if needed packers on the shock shafts.
