SFC bolt on or weld?
SFC bolt on or weld? So I decided that my next mod is going to be a pair of UMI SFC's. Is there any advantage between bolt on or weld in? I imagine the weld ins are better, but not sure. Also, they have 2 and 3 point connectors. The 3 points will offer more stiffness, correct?

2pt was the industry standard for years and still work fine. With the advent of 3pt, we reinforce the tunnel mount area and further tie things together. Unfortunately there's no industry standard measurement for how much stiffer 3 is vs 2. My general explanation is there is a much larger difference between 0 and 2 than there is 2 and 3.
Same goes for bolt in vs weld in. Some guys want to retain the ability to go back to stock or remove SFCs on cars they know they're going to sell. We have a ton of cars going perfectly fast on bolt-ins. Just make sure you keep them tight.
In summary I'll give the 2pt bolt in an 8.5 and 3pt weld in a 10...
