how low can ya go
I'm running sportlines right now with the front ones cut a bit, if you want to go any lower than I am you will need to go air ride.
I'm looking into doing an air ride setup for mine, there are 2 or 3 other guys with them on here.

my car already rides like dump so i am used to having cars that ride like, crap from my miata and current car.(This is with a 1 1/2" drop for my car which doesn't leave much for suspension travel lol) 
(my miata had a center of wheel to fender gap of 12"s....that's how all the miata guys measure ride height since it's easiest and less likely to get a variance.)

so can't go any lower on a coil over setup or anything?
You can go lower, but you'll have to answer one question: do you want your spring rates set by your springs, or your bump stops? Unless you really start modifying things to get the shock travel back, you can only go so low before you competely ruin the ride, not to mention the handling.

i like the stance look and i would (if and when i get a camaro trans am ls1 car.) it'd be slam it for a day for a car show and then raise it a bit for normal use. which as you can see for my normal use is still pretty low.

Brett Foote From all the places I've talked to the coilovers won't go lower than cut sportlines. Plus if you haven't done a whole lot of research theres only one set of coilovers for our car that isn't made for drag racing:

They only lower the car 1.5" whereas sportlines lower close to 2".
Also you aren't alone I'm also into stance, and am on stanceworks, stancenation, etc. That's the reason I will most likely be putting together a custom air ride setup really soon.

problem with air ride is that it gives up so much on other area's of performance. which the only coil over system not drag related i found was the ground force kit. which my car will see the drag strip along with probably a auto cross course as well.
The ground controls don't go low at all for our cars. JasonWW, the guy with how to air ride your car threads on here, had them and it didn't get low.
And air ride will enhance performance in my opinion. A properly setup air ride suspension will out maneuver coils/springs any day. Also you can set the air spring rate for drag racing to increase weight transfer.

That is not the reason you don't see air ride setups on the track. Many people who race in the AI and AIX series easily spend that much in custom valves penske racing shocks and other similar brands. They choose to use those because they are far superior in the handling dept.

Well to ride good while slammed you will need to get... BMR 1" lower front arms, Koni shocks all the way around, and Ground-control coilovers. Do the JasonWW front upper mount mod. Remove rear upper isolators. Custom rear bump stops. If you search around on here some people have made their own rear coilover setups that are IMO better than what you can buy.
