Clunking\Knocking Sound, Need Help Please!
Hello, I own a 96 camaro.
The car has been making a knocking\clunking sound, i can feel it in the car sometimes. As soon as I turn right it makes the sound, then as soon as i straighten out its gone.
It is only when I take right turns.
Iv' determined its not the sway bar, it feels secure, all rubber bushings look good.
Iv determined its not a ball joint, jacked the car up, shook tires, but nothing.
What else could it be?
Wheel bearings?
Carrier differtial fluid low?
Brakes?
Can shocks make these sounds?
Lower control arms look fine. Everything under the car looks secure, even gave some stuff a tug that i thought may be making the noise, but nothing loose.
I really can't determine where the sound is comming from, 'ill drive it later on and post when i find out if its front or rear. Its really damn annoying.

Well, We did some tests, we ruled out suspension.
We believe the sound is comming from the drivetrain. The rear differential carrier. We seem to be able to feel a bump in the hump between the back seats. It has to be driveshaft or rear end problems, because the front is as healthy as a horse.

Im not too worried i guess now that its the rear end.
I just bought a one peice steal driveshaft for 40$ from a 97 trans am. OEM LSD, and 3.73 motive gears W/ install kit and cover.
