Default Rear Wheel Problems BAD

I have a 1999 Trans Am with Corvette c6 rims, stock rear. I have worn out rear tires in the inside on the drivers side. I replaced the rear shocks last week with a set of Adjustable ABGX shocks. However i'm still experiencing the same concerns as before.

What happens is from what I can judge, when going over bumps I can hear a "thud" from my rear tire like somethings not right. If i go over normal dips in the highway at times it feels as though my car is bottoming out. I realize it could be the Rear wheel hitting inside of the wheel well.

I went to a an alignment shop and the said it was out of spec by nearly a degree in the rear. Then i took it to a mechanic and with out even looking at the car he started giving me prices for a complete rear end replacement.

So is this a sign of a new rear needed. Could it be twisted (the car is stock).
Possibly an axle?

Any suggestions ?

i had the same issue. camber is your problem and on a solid rear axle camber should not be a concern lol new axle should take care of it. it was probably hit or he hit a curb or something.
