Default SFC causing larger wheel well gap?

I just had bmr boxed weld in sfc installed on my car and I'm not sure if its all in my head or not but it looks like the wheel well gap is bigger, at least maybe on the front...
it measures from the ground
Driver front: 28"
Driver rear: 28"
Passanger front: 27.5"
Passanger rear: 27.5"

I never measured before so i don't have before numbers...
This is on a stock shock/ spring car with 20k mi.
Like i said it just looks like it is different now (don't know if its subconscious because my mind knows about the sfc and so its expecting something to be diff...)
Just wondering if there is any logical explanation that installing sfc can change wheel well gap.

Thanks a lot

Sounds very unlikely, but how were they welded, on a 2 or 4 point lift? The later is preferred since the body is at rest as it would be on the street.

Did you do it on a drive on lift? They have to be welded in with the suspension fully loaded, and that's the only way to do it.

The front wheels were on ramps and the rear axle was on jack stands. So the supension was loaded.

Then the subframe connectors were welded on correctly then. There is really no way for subframe connectors to affect the wheel gap/ride height in any way.

One would think so, except Speed Inc. has been doing them on 2 point lifts claiming they have done many that way with "no issues".
