Default Control Arms question

In the weeks to come ill be upgrading my suspension; planning on getting strano springs, koni adjustable shocks, panhard bar, and some 19" rims on 295s 19x9 for the front, 19x11 for the rear.

My buddy says on his GTO the control arms sometimes get in the way with the bigger rims/tires. I think ive heard a few people on here relocated them... So my question is with my setup would i need to also? (car in question is my 99 T/A)

The GTO and the fbody have totally different suspension setups. The control arms aren't the issue with wide wheels/tires in the back.

Well I've seen you've done aftermarket LCA's and a relo, what was your reason behind that? Also do you only need to relocate your panhard bar if your running duals, or will a 3" y pipe catback setup effect it also?

The only reason to relocate them is to adjust the angle, primarily done on lowered cars so they are less horizontal from being lowered.

Relocation brackets adjust them "up down" not "side to side" so it has nothing to do with tire clearance.

My stock LCAs had bad bushings, and new ones cost only slightly more than new bushings and I didn't have to mess with pressing the bushings out and new ones in.

I'm running LCA relocations because it adjusts the angle. Like skopers3 said, they adjust up/down, not in/out. Can improve traction off the line. I didn't go crazy with the adjustment as I want to keep handling.

The adjustable panhard makes no difference for the exhaust (only the panhard relocation does). I got that because I lowered the car and I wanted to recenter the axle. This is something that you do want when running wide tires to help fit them in the wheel wells. The best would be a Watts link as that eliminates the left/right swing the panhard creates, and that is something that I do want eventually, but it costs a lot more.
