newb question need help
also. im in the process if getting new struts and springs. I beleave the springs just sit in on the rear. Do the rear struts just screw in the the rear and and screw into the top. same thing with the front. but i dont know now the springs sit in there do i need to buy anything like strut hats. aly advise will help.
Rear shocks bolt to rear end right behind the wheels then bolt to body. You will need to remove backseat and pull carpet up to get to top bolt.
Rear springs rest on perch on rearend and sit into a hole up top. Lower rearend enough to pull springs out. Might be easier to remove shocks first so u can lower rearend even more.
Fronts you will need to unbolt the 2 bolts and 2 nuts under the hood on the strut tower humps, (driverside has 2 torx head bolts which you may need to unbolt brake reservoir and pull aside, in order to access) then unbolt the 2 bolts at bottom of shock. You will also need to unbolt the spindle rod as well from the upper a-arm. The upper a-arm will come out with shock. You then need some spring compressors to remove upper a-arm from shock
Then install upper a-arm onto new shock/spring setup and install.
