Default Brake Lines

I pulled my rear end to do a general clean up and swap out the rear gears for some 3.73's. My rear brake lines were so rusted that the piece at the back of the car broke while loosening during the removal. This piece is the part of the line that runs from the front of the car, all the way to the back. I was going to just grab a new line from the junk yard, but these cars are getting surprisingly rare to find in Chicago. I checked D&S and they couldn't help, so i'm asking where do you guys get your new brake lines? Also, while I am under there, I don't mind upgrading the brakes a bit...I like the look of braided so that is a possibility. Any information, or pictures would be great.

That happened to me on my 98. I lifted the car, touched the line (didn't even apply any pressure with the wrench yet) and it just broke off. And to think just a week earlier I had done a panic stop on the interstate...

I ended up replacing the whole line. I bent it myself with the help of a friend. We pulled the bad line out of the car, bent the new line to closely match the original, put the fitting on the end and bubble flared it (can be done with a double flare tool pretty easily). We couldn't find a replacement flex section off the ABS block, so we reused it and several inches of the original line and used a brake line coupling.

Bending your own lines is 5x cheaper even with buying the tools to do it.
