Default Wheel hop??

Ok this is a really dumb question, but what exactly is wheel hop? My car used to take off like a beast even w/ my ASR on, no bog down at all...but now a few months after putting some lowering springs on the car and switching out the rear end, it bogs down like crazy and takes forever to launch at the track. I need help...this is really affecting my ET's and don't know what to do about this situation? Could it be the differential, the whole rear end, the axles??? Feed me some theories.

Wheel Hop is when your rearend starts to bounce up and down, during a burnout or when you launch hard. That cause's your rear end to break.
