Default Help me please!

Hi Guys

I got a wilwood front and rear disc brake kit for my 68 chevelle however the seller seems to have sold me big ford (new style) rear brackets that should bolt up to the axle.

Could someone help me find the part number for the backing plates?

Sample of backing plate

My current backing plates have part numbers #250-6226 and #6335 which corresponds to big ford new style axle
http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...6335/overview/

big ford new style axle which wont bolt up to my chevy axle

what i need is the part number for chevy 10/12 bolt in order to install the rear brakes

Thanks

what I've done in the past is find the exact kit I needed at the Wilwood site (in your case, Chevy version of the rear brake kit), and then dig down into the exploded view diagrams OR the downloadable installation PDF manual for that kit. One of these ways, you should be able to determine the appropriate part number for the plates you're hunting down.

I already did, but the part numbers given are for the while backing plate plus parking prake

An example:

I just need the plate itself which im having a difficult time finding the part number

here is one possibility (2.81" offset, unidirectional): http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wil-249-2103-04
and another (2.81" offset, rear-mounted): http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wil-249-7114-15

Wilwood must think those last ones are made of gold. Crazy question: have you considered carefully centering your existing plates and drilling them?

The first ones wont work and the last one comes with all the parking brake and accessories which is part #1 in the above diagram

I just need the plate which the park brake bolts onto so retain what i already have and just pay for the plate

I thought about it but the ford axle pattern on the backing plate and the chevy bolt pattern on the axle are dangerously close if not slightly overlapping
