Got my strut tower brace from Founders performance for $50. Looks great AND clears the oil cap and dipstick, something that is a common problem with other STB's.

But yea what you listed is a good start.

thanks for the info, but another question, I see some manufacturers have 2 point AND 3 point subframe connectors, what is the difference between them (besides the obvious)

Our STB also has plenty of oil cap/dipstick clearance.

The 3 point is a little more beneficial for someone that is using a tunnel mount torque arm that shares the 3rd connection point. It really helps to spread the load during a launch for example. Outside of the drag racing world, they do help tie in the chassis a bit more. I'd say for daily driving situations many drivers wouldn't notice the difference in 2 vs 3 point in the seat of your pants!

picked up one of their shocktower brace (2 pt) at LS Fest last year, plenty of clearance and I have 3" tall valve covers.

thanks for the replies, Im not going to drag or race my car, mainly daily driver, however every once in a while I do like to stomp on it. am really interested in tightening up, as I have dash and t top rattles I would like to eliminate.
