Default broken poly mount?

I replaced my trans mount with an energy suspension mount 400 miles ago. I started feeling some clunking last night under the floor but the shifter is moving like it normally would with a broken mount. Anyone broke a poly mount or what else could it be?

Check the torque arm mount. I have seen the top bolt back out or strip and allow the arm to come up and hit the floorboard. When this happens you will also normally get a strange floating, unsettled feeling in the rear of the car.

The poly shouldn't break, but the fasteners can very easily work their way out of the mount. Make sure they are tight, and visually inspect the torque arm bushing.

I have a energy poly mount and i thought the same thing happened to me2x but it was always a loose nut or bolt next to the mount. Get underneath the car and check for backed out bolts or a nut missing off the poly mount due to extra vibration, also dont forget to put some locktight on.

The torque arm bushing bolt fell out. The good news it was sitting on top of the fuel lines. Bad news I'm having trouble getting it back in.

The threads may be messed from the bolt being loose and able to move around in the threaded hole. You may be able to run a quick tap through the hole and clean up the threads.

If the threads have been damaged, you can drill it larger and re-tap it and either use a heli-coil insert to use the factory bolt, or just use a larger bolt. I have usually just gone with the larger bolt and a lock washer under the head of it and didn't have an issue afterwards

got it. Had to straighten up the bracket. It was bent and the holes wouldn't line up. Must've been loose for a while.
