Rear end question My 00 SS rear end unfortunately going out. Due to my SS being a 6 speed I'm struggling to find one on Craigslist from a manual Camaro.
However I did find one low miles from an automatic z28, I am aware about the gear difference. But if I was to purchase would there be a way to upgrade everything so it would work on my SS without a problem?

Make sure it's the proper rear end as far as 3 or 4 channel..
If your car has traction control aka "asr" button above the radio then you need a 4 channel rear end if you want to keep abs and traction control.
If you don't have the traction control asr button then you have a 3 channel rear end and will want another 3 channel rear end so ABS will still work..
If you don't care if you have abs or not then it doesn't matter which rear end you get..
Being that it's an automatic rear end in the z28 that you are looking at it will either have 2.73 gears or 3.23
I would not run 2.73's in a 6 speed car if it were me.. 3.23 would work better
In any case after the install you will need the computer flashed for the new gear ratio so the speedometer reads correctly
