Default How to hook up in Mexico

I have a trans am 5.3 bottom end ls1 heads & ls6 intake on a plate system. TH350 LCAs TQ arm 28 inch pros. From experience what gear & suspension & mods do I need to get the best traction from home. This is all I really use the car for. Thanks for any input.

Do you have any suspension mods at all right now? Most guys around here with similar setups run 3.73s if not something a little steeper. For me the most important thing to nail down would be shocks. I would recommend looking at something like the Viking double adjustable coil-overs as they will offer the adjustments needed to try to get the car to hook up consistently on the street. Give us some more details about your current suspension setup and we can help you out more.

The car has lowering springs in the front & all factory rears. BMR TQ arm set at -2. LCAs & LCA relocation brackets. I was thinking about running a 3.90 gear. Would that hurt the occasional drive to the meets? I definitely need a good shock set up as the ones in the front where drilled out when I purchased the car.

Shocks would definitely be the first thing I would do. If the budget allows I would do the Viking double adjustable coil-overs on the car. If you are looking for something more budget oriented you could do Strange single adjustable coil-overs up front and cheaper drag shocks on the rear but this won't be nearly as good or consistent of a setup as the Vikings. The steeper the gear the harder it is going to be to get the car to hook from a dig so you have to keep that in mind. What hole do you have the lower control arms in the relocation brackets? Is the car hooking at all the way it is currently set up?

Lower springs are definitely not helping any.
