Default lowering options

Picked up a stock 99 Z28 convertible. I am looking to lower it and install new shocks. What are my best options for this? Car is weekend cruiser and will probably never see any track time. Thanks..

I would recommend going with a good, quality set of lowering springs like our BMR lowering springs parts number SP001. I would team them up with a set of Koni STR.T shocks or Bilsteins shocks and you will have yourself a nice riding weekend cruiser with an aggressive stance. Both of these shock options are inexpensive and will do everything you need them to for your weekend cruiser. Coil-overs are also an option but they would really be overkill for you with what your plans are for the car. We have all these parts in stock and ready to ship so give us a call if there is anything we can help you with.

A lot of guys are going the coil-over route for the ability to adjust the ride height for the stance you like or what works best for your application.

We handle Viking which is an affordable coil-over set-up that won't break the bank.
They come with double adjustable shocks.

Really depends on how low you want to go. We have a ton of customers doing the heater hose mod in the rear and purchasing Viking DA coil over front and smooth body DA rears. If you want more of a drop we'd need to discuss this first because there is other ways to go.

When getting into coil over be sure to contact a company that understands all the options possible. Not every shock, spring rate, and spring height is the same for every vehicle.
