Brake Noise!
About 8 months ago, I replaced my rotors with EBC dimpled/slotted rotors & StopTech Brake Pads. I used the supplied caliper clips with the pads. Initially it chirped a bit, so I ended up grinding down the clips, and that reduced the noise by about 99%.
Now 8 months later, the chirp has appeared again. But as I rotate the wheel, it'll only chirp at a certain spot. But obviously, as you're moving it'll constantly chirp because the wheel is spinning. And when I apply pressure on the brakes, the chirp turns more into a grinding. Now, I just replaced the caliper clips with NAPPA: 83253A, which should be a direct replacement. Now it's chirping even worst... Fortunately I kept my grinded clips, and I'll probably pop those back in. And yes, I used grease around the clips, and redid the pads as well.
Any other opinions!? Warped rotor?
