Default Additional welding on SFC install?

I recently installed welding in UMI SFC. I noticed that on the drivers side, the SFC is right up against the pinch seam as pictured below. I believe this is causing a creeking noise that I didnt' have before. I have not seen where its a common practice to make some welds between the pinch seam and SFC, but it crossed my mind to do so. I wonder why the drivers side is different from the passenger side.

Has anyone made some additional welds along the length of the SFC on the driver side? Any issues?

Also, I'm getting a new knocking noise that I know wasn't there before, but a search revealed that I probably don't have the LCA bolt tight enough(I didn't torque it). I suspect this separate issue will go away when I properly torque the LCA bolt.

Driver side SFC against the pinch seam:

Heres a few more photos of my SFC. I'm not a welder(I'm a machinst), so please don't be too judgmental on my welds.

Yes you can do this. I have many customers that go ahead and do this for some added rigidity. You don't need to run a full seam, just a stitch weld of 1-2" every so often would be sufficient. Definitely torque that LCA down. Keep in mind, the bolt is now clamping the heavier plates of the SFC as well as the original material, so it will take much more load on the bolt to achieve the same clamping force on the LCA bushing

Thanks for the info Eric. It says a lot about UMI and BMR both that you guys chime in and help with issues with your competitors parts. I'll do some prep and throw some welds like you described. That also makes a lot of sense about the additional material causing the LCA bolt to have to be tighter. I great ly appreciate your response.
