I'm running a 94 formula with the stock, aged, suspension and I am looking at replacing the worn parts and improving the characteristics. The car is mainly a daily/ play car, so it will see a spirited drive on a winding road burnouts and the occasional autox all in moderation. My goal is to retain a fair amount of comfort like I have now but improve the cornering ability a bit. I will be going to a set of 17 or 18" wheels with 275-295 range rubber and I know that will help. I figure a stiffer sway front and rear and better dampers would be the way to go. Looking for suggestions on shocks for stockish ride height and what everyone dose about sway bars.

Replace bushings with new rubber ones.
17" wheels will ride better than 18"s if that matters to you.
For shocks you have bilstien hd/SLPs and Koni STR.ts which will be great upgrade stock replacement type of shocks, and then Koni Sports which will be a huge upgrade over stock. There are a few other lower end ones out there not really worth mentioning as the bilstiens and STR.ts arguably are better at that price point.
For swaybars 35mm front and 21 or 22mm rear is an ideal balanced setup, or you can upgrade your front bar to the stock 32mm front WS6/SS swaybar for cheap if you find used and use it with the stock 19mm rear bar.
For the road, doing new Moog rubber bushings and ball joints plus some fresh shocks will make it a completely new car even without touching your sways, lcas or panhard. You honestly don't have to worry too much about springs if you don't want to lower it, but if you do the stuff from BMR, UMI or Strano is all super balanced and you really can't go wrong (just don't buy some weird off brand stuff to save $20 on ebay)
Thanks guys. As you can see in my sig I have tried the lowered and "sport" setup and although its nimble its harsh on the back side. For now I think I'll start with the new bushings and probably a set of bilsteins for dampers.

KYBs are not going to be the most forgiving shock for ride. You can be lower and still have a great ride quality (good shocks and springs are key), but stock springs will always ride better.
