Those would make fine replacement rotors & pads, but would it be much of a performance gain? I was under the impression that in the world of rotors, size always matters? The Hawks HPS's will help though.

You could add the $250 for the LG C5 brackets to Z28camaroLS1's quote. And use the bigger C5 brembo blanks and HPS brake pads. You should still be under budget. Maybe even get some ATE super Blue brake fluid, add another $10 to the quote.
So now you will have:
LG C5 caliper brakets
Brembo C5 OE blanks (rotors)
Hawk HPS pads
ATE brake fluid

Hawk HPS pads

LG motorsports------->
sells those brackets. they should be a direct bolt on to 98-02 cars, the 93-97's might need a little cutting, but I'm not too sure about that. You will need to give them a call.

I was going to say go with some slotted / cross drilled rotors. We have a place locally that will take the rotors, in this case Brembo's would be nice, and they cryo freeze them and are heat treated. Then for an extra $80 a pair the cross-drill and slot them.
That would give you high strength rotors that will not warp, and you'll stop on a dime.
I went with the Wilwood brakes and they are nice, but I lost my ABS and its ******* with my traction control systems.

Why did you lost your ABS and what's the matter with your traction control system?
