Default Rusted Lower Spring Mount

If anybody else experienced this I have a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am with over 88,000 miles and we currently found out that my Rear Coil Spring Mount is Rusted and has a few cracks in it. We searched to see if they had any spring mounts, parts, and tools available for this but mainly Jeeps and off-roading vehicles have this common issue. Would welding it in fix it or do we have to get an entirely new setup?

This happened to a friends 2001 WS6. He got hold of a rear end with good ones on, cut them off and welded them onto his rear end. problem solved.

Don't leave it either. When his rotted all the way through and let go, the drivers side rear was on its **** at over 60mph. Rear quarter damaged, and tyre shredded.

Thank you for letting me know we're trying to fix this as soon as possible since this is something serious and can't be ignored

Honestly if that were my car I wouldn't even drive it that way until it was fixed.

Use it as an excuse to upgrade the rear end maybe
