Question thud and grinding

I'm getting a kind of thud or minor rubbing or grinding noise from the front right wheel. Could this be something to do with the suspension or do I need spacers. Aren't spacers used to offset the wheels? I put 17-inch ZR-1 wheels on a couple of years ago and haven't heard anything. Seems to be getting worse. Also, it appears to happen more so when there's a change in weight (braking, turning, accelaration). Any help would be appreciated and whatever the problem may be, could you give me a figure on how much and what? Thanks

inspect all the components, brakes, shocks, springs, for visual signs of problems or rubbing. could be a loose bolt or bad shock, 17" wheels should fit fine.
