Idk in my opinion your rebuild price is a little high turn one. I understand you do it all in house and it's not an unknown or outsourced rebuild, but does that justify twice the price not to mention shipping? All the remans I'm seeing are anywhere from 50 to 80. And the AutoZone is under 80 with a lifetime. Why should I choose yours over that lifetime?

not to mention I could just buy the new one from summit for 150 free shipping, then move the reservoir over and pulley, then sell my pump for 35. Pretty sure it's not even leaking. New pump for 115..

the tuff stuff i mentioned just happens to be alum.....i think they have steel body pumps too

seeing as how the pump has no wear surfaces against the body .....alum is not a bad choice

Haven't you heard? Steel is the material of the future. Aluminum burns up during reentry.

The link was to Summit on ebay. If you want to post sponsor links, that's fine but please go to their main commerce site. We'll usually wipe out ebay wherever we see it.

You may notice that you can find a lot of LS1Tech material on google and other search engines. The company that runs this site does a really good job with search. When we are linked directly to our sponsors, the search engines should work better. If someone is searching for LS1 steering information, one would want a search engine to show LS1Tech, TurnOne, Summit, etc. If ebay is in the mix, you might end up getting a link for a Hummel.

Pump on Camaro was from them so I do not know what core was used. Pump on Corvette was my stock original core(At the time they didn't have any cores for that car) and as far as I remember nothing was wrong with it. I had the car apart for a cam etc change and figured why not. I used synthetic fluids in both as instructed.

I've had two Turn One pumps. The original unit must have lasted the better part of 10 years, most of that in daily driver and autocross (on square 315's) duty. It eventually developed a leak in the housing a few years ago. I didn't want any down time so I bought another from them and I've not had any problems with that unit either. Old pump still in storage, never got around to sending it back for repair. I've also only used Redline PS fluid since I went with aftermarket PS parts.

The only leaking problems I've had overall are the normal weeping out of the cap, the reservoir (first unit), and leaking lines (solved by switching to AN lines).I never had the OEM PS cooler, but I've had a stacked PS cooler for maybe 6 years. I stopped autocrossing in 2009 and I've been using square 315's on the same daily driver since about 2012.

appreciate the response. i just decided to send mine into them. im doing the performance rebuild, i figure yea its 120 more than the new summit pump, but if it gets me 2 more horsepower that extra 120 is on the higher side with $60 per hp, but i guess the added benefits of it running cooler/and or working less hard i guess.

turn one does sell the pressure relief valve separate so you can swap out the stock high pressure one for their lower pressure one....fyi

Actually, we offer flow restrictors to adjust the flow rate, not the pressure relief valve. Our new pumps offer a higher pressure than the factory to handle higher wheel loads that high performance driving produces.

Thanks,
Junior

Have had my Turn One Pump on for approx three years. Spun to 7k and sits right above the head of my Turbo just fine. No leaks or anything out of it, would def snag one again. Friend on Cam'd car fought three Power Steering pumps from local parts stores that always seemed to groan and whine and eventually leak. Snagged a Turn One a while after I got mine and has been fine since.

Didn't know they did steering racks, know where I will be sending mine when it kicks the bucket.

possible that he fought with 3 due to them rebuilding cores with the bore worn out like mine was. glad to hear a positive review.

Very good advice above. After dealing with boiling fluid on my first track day, I read a lot of stuff on here and followed the advice to get rid of the stock "cooler" (which might in itself be the source of the problem) and I also ran a separate frame rail mounted cooler. Haven't had any problems since over 30+ track days on the car with almost all of them being spring/summer/fall events in the southeast.
