Default Sway Bar Installation

Hi All,

I am in the process of getting my car back on the road, and among other things this includes new shocks/springs and sway bars. Would it be best to install the sway bar while the suspension is under load, or when it is not? My initial thought is under load since that is how the car would be sitting typically, although for all I know could cause the sway bar to be under tension and slap me in the face.

Suspension loaded. Tighten end links until bushings compress just a bit.

Yes, as long as your suspension is not hanging free, you're good. You can have the wheels on ramps, have the axle on jack stands, just anything to load the suspension and have it sitting as it would on the ground.
Get everything installed loose, load the suspension, tighten everything.
