3 ABS system codes 99 T/A

3 ABS system codes 99 T/A hey everyone how's it going,I recently got an update on my blue driver OBD2 scan tool so I decided to try it out. I had no check engine lights prior to the scan but after the scan I received three any lock brake system codes, C0182,C0181,C0266. My scan tool tells me what each code is, and for the first two codes it says to replace the ABS control module to fix it, but for the third code, C0266 ADS controller malfunction it doesn't offer any type of fix at all. so far I haven't been able to find any information about it. has anyone out there had a similar issue this? Any feedback at all would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
Moving to Brakes
Are you sure those codes are correct? I search for C0181 and C0182 and see something about a throttle reduction motor.
Is your ABS light on? With ABS malfunction codes, it should be on.

hey thanks for replying wssix99, I don't think the ABS light was on but I'm going to check right now. These codes popped up right after I downloaded an update for my Blue Driver OBD2 scan tool. I'll be back in 2 minutes

wssix99, I just checked, the ABS light is not on, I cleared the codes and re scanned it, now there's no trouble codes at all! Thank for replying, I appreciate it man, have a good day.

Hey everyone hows it going, I just wanted to give an update about the ABS codes I found on my 99T/A. I bought one of those Blue Driver OBD2 scanners a couple of months ago, and works great. It monitors a lot of parameters even on my 20 year old car. A couple of days ago an update showed up for it on the Google play store, so I updated it and didn't try it out till last night. When I scanned it 3 ABS codes showed up that I have never seen before so I thought they were new. After a little research I figured out that the latest update, the scan tool is now capable of reading ABS codes on my car, so those 3 ABS codes that just showed up on the scan tool had been in there since I replaced the brake booster a few months ago. I got up this morning and checked to see if the ABS dash light was on and thankfully it wasn't! So I cleared the ABS codes and scanned again and, No More Codes!!!!! Of all the repairs that I attempt that are way above my pay grade, It's these type of repairs where I really shine through! I wish they were all like this. Thanks again wssix99 for the help. If it wasn't for people like you, I would still have an average of about 850 dollars every time a light on the dash decides to pay me a visit! Thanks everyone and have a great day.

Great! There was a few things on my mind and this was one. (The codes weren't active and were in the history.) If they were active, then the ABS light would be on. (If they were active and the ABS light was off, that would be another problem and another thread.)
Codes like this can be thrown if the car is powered with some harnesses unplugged, etc. while doing work and may never have really been a problem. Since you were doing work on the brake system: I suggest manually clearing out these history codes and starting your journey (with your new OBD scanner) with a clean slate. That way, if anything comes up in the future, you'll know something happened since now.
