Default Extended Wheel Studs

Going to try this here...

I have 1/4" spacers on the rear of my 2000 Firebird. I'd like to change out the studs for longer ones. I will not be using ARP.
I am trying to find these parts locally (Edmonton, Canada) and Napa says the OEM replacement stud is Napa part number 6411621. They also advise the extended stud (about 1/2" longer) is Napa part number 6411581.
can anyone out there advise if 6411581 is the right stud to use?

The main issue i'm having is dealing with the knurl measurement. I read that OEM is .509" yet the Napa parts have different measurements. the replacement (6411621) knurl is .501" and the longer stud (6411581) is .504"

Will 6411581 work? Is there a different option (other than the expensive ARP)?

thanks and be safe out there!

Why not ARP? The 2.5" stud for our cars is about 27 bucks per 5 set, so little over 100. Is the safety of you and your car not worth 100 bucks? The extended NAPA studs don't sound like they are any stronger than stock, just longer, I wouldn't risk it. I've been running the ARPs with spacer on road course for years no problem.

The ARP studs are $75/package Canadian. I'm sure they are the best product but i don't race or drive this car hard at all. At $27/package, i wouldn't even be asking but three times that is too expensive. And where are you finding them for $27. I thought the lowest i could find them (US) was about $35/pack.

Hey Rooster, I switched out all my studs to ARP, I had to cut them down because ARPs are for open lugs not enclosed lugs. I couldn't get my old lugs to work. I even stripped a couple and had to cut them off, but luckily they were up front. I ordered Doorman black lugs enclosed and one set of 5 Doorman open lugs as thread chasers. The Doormans went on easy. Even after cutting them down. I got everything thru Summit. Good Luck to You!
